This is the most easiest and healthy sauce I have ever come across. Its delicious and filled with a lot of aroma. The main ingredient in this sauce is Basil. Basil is a herb said to be part of the Tulsi family. Tulsi is a holy plant in India and is worshiped by the Hindu’s.
So lets see how to prepare this gorgeous herbal sauce.
1. Handful of Basil
2. Cloves of garlic
3. 5-6 Roasted Walnuts/Pine nuts
4. Extra virgin olive oil
5. 1 tbsp of grated parmesan cheese
In a pestle and mortar put a handful of basil and crush it. Add the roasted walnuts and crush it finely. Now add the garlic and mash it along with the basil and walnut. To this paste add Olive oil. Once the oil has quoted the mixture well add the parmesan cheese and mix well until you get a smooth texture. Add salt to taste and some black pepper. Your Pesto sauce is ready. You can store this sauce in a air tight container and keep it in the fridge for about 5-7 days.
